Giclee Prints
What is a “giclee” print?
Our giclee (pronounced “zheeclay”) fine art prints offer you a chance to own a print of a quality that looks like an original painting with superior color, accuracy, and precision at a fraction of the cost of an original painting. This you simply cannot get with paper prints and posters. Our Giclee fine art prints are made with archival inks and canvas that will last much longer than paper prints without fading. New ink and canvas combinations offer archival characteristics exceeding 100 years. Our giclee fine art prints are printed on a textured canvas which “feels” like a real painting.
The canvas that is used is specially prepared to accept this type of printing and is archival quality (i.e., acid-free, so that it will not discolor). As with other fine art printing processes, the artist approves “proofs” of the art print to insure that the right tone, depth and color is produced.
The visual quality of the print is extremely high and the color saturation and definition stunning. A Giclee has the look and feel of an original painting.
Our Giclee’s are Roland Giclee prints made on stretched Rexam canvas with Roland Pigmented archival inks. These fine art prints should be treated like any other work of art on canvas and kept out of direct sunlight. The framing of a Giclee on canvas is the same as an original oil or acrylic painting requiring no matting or glass.
Each wildlife art print is signed and numbered by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
